Like a child!

Hello!  Todays post is simply going to be about encouragement in staying active.  Do you remember how it was when you were a child and moving around was effortless and happy?  ANYTHING that involved moving around was PLAY!  My thoughts of today have been around getting that joy BACK.  With that in mind, I want to suggest following a child around for the day doing absolutely everything THEY want to do(within safety and budget limits of course), but do the day WITH them- not watching from the sidelines but slide down the slide WITH them, take your bike NEXT to them, jump the rope WITH them, ride the roller coasters and beat the strength meter at the park for that teddy bear WITH them, swim the waves at the water park right BESIDE them, chase after the same lightening bugs, jump up and down on the trampoline or yes even the bed- EVERYTHING WITH them!  Be prepared- you will be sore and exhausted, but you will have the utmost sense of joy of not only letting loose but bathing that child in complete attention which -in all cases- is so needed at times.  While doing this, for the complete effect though, you MUST let go of anything hampering your mood or causing you to think of ANYTHING other than that child and "catching" his or her enthusiasm and joy for the whole day.  You will feel mentally and dare I say spiritually clearer if you go into this 100 percent.  Then the next time you are working out- just remember that child's and your joy and you can work out smiling every time you bring that to mind and heart!  PLUS kids have awesome new ideas how to incorporate activity into EVERY moment!  Just WATCH!  Happy Movement!!!       This is my daughter- she LOVES happy movement EVERY moment!  Literally!!!
